Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): #Ravens first-round guard Vega Ioane, one of the NFL’s best rookies this season, suffered an MCL sprain against the #Bengals, sources tell me and @MikeGarafolo. It’s considered to be a short-term injury, though he will miss a little time.
Ioane hurt his knee in the first quarter in Cincinnati, shortly after moving back to right guard, and Emery Jones Jr. played the final three quarters in his place. Garafolo called it "another tough one" for the line, though "not a catastrophic injury, at least."
The No. 14 overall pick has been one of the league's best rookies, and he's also been Baltimore's emergency answer at center, making three starts there after the Ravens' top three centers landed on injured reserve. Losing him means the Ravens (4-3) will start their sixth different offensive line combination of the season Sunday at Buffalo (5-1), according to ESPN. Right tackle Roger Rosengarten and left guard John Simpson are the only linemen who have started every game.
