A day after saying the Raiders were thinking about everything, Klint Kubiak said Cousins will start Sunday against the Jets and Fernando Mendoza's turn isn't coming this week
Kirk Cousins is still the Raiders' starting quarterback. Coach Klint Kubiak told reporters Monday that "there is no controversy," and Cousins will start Sunday against the Jets..
That closes the door Kubiak cracked open after Sunday's 35-21 loss to the Rams, when he said the team was "thinking about everything" with No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza waiting behind Cousins.

Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): #Raiders coach Klint Kubiak made clear that “there is no controversy” — Kirk Cousins will start this week. As for Fernando Mendoza, “Fernando is going to play at some point, but it’s not going to be this week.”
Kubiak didn't rule Mendoza out for good. "Fernando is going to play football. We have a plan. We don't have a timeline for that," he said. "Kirk is playing well, and we're in the hunt."
The numbers back him up on Cousins. He leads the league with 16 touchdown passes against five interceptions, and he threw for 295 yards and two scores against the Rams. The four-game skid has had more to do with a defense that's allowed 35.8 points per game since Week 4 and a run game that hasn't reached 100 yards since Week 3. Las Vegas is 3-4 heading to MetLife.
