Seahawks LT Charles Cross Has High-Ankle Sprain; Early Returns Positive on Rashid Shaheed
Seattle's left tackle will miss time after an MRI on the ankle he hurt against the Chiefs, though the team hopes it's only one to two weeks
Seahawks left tackle Charles Cross has a high-ankle sprain and will miss time, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday after an MRI. The hope is that Cross is back in one to two weeks, though that depends on how his rehab goes.
Cross and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed both left Sunday night's 20-3 win over the Chiefs and didn't return. Mike Macdonald told Seattle Sports radio Monday morning that the "early returns are positive" on Shaheed's knee, ESPN's Brady Henderson reported, while Cross was still waiting on imaging at the time.

Losing Cross stings for an offense that just found its footing in pass protection. Sam Darnold wasn't sacked against Kansas City after taking five sacks in each of Seattle's previous two games.
The 4-3 Seahawks have extra time to get healthy. They don't play again until they host the Bears on Monday Night Football on Nov. 2, so a one-week timeline would give Cross a chance to make it back for that game.
