Saquon Barkley Active for Eagles vs. Cowboys After Hamstring Injury

Barkley was questionable with a hamstring injury, and Jonathan Greenard is also active for Monday night

Saquon Barkley is active for the Eagles against the Cowboys on Monday night, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported after Philadelphia released its inactives. Edge rusher Jonathan Greenard is active too, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Barkley was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury he suffered in the first quarter of the Week 4 game against the Rams. He was limited in practice Thursday and Friday before a full session Saturday. Greenard missed Friday's practice with an ankle injury.

The Eagles need Barkley badly. They've averaged 28.5 rushing yards per game without him compared with 109.0 when he plays, according to CBS Sports, and he's averaged 5.1 yards per carry this season while the rest of the backfield sits at 2.8. With Jalen Hurts sidelined and DeVonta Smith ruled out, Barkley is the best weapon Philadelphia has left.

Guard Landon Dickerson and rookie tight end Eli Stowers, both activated from IR earlier Monday, are also up, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported.
