Rams Won't Open Myles Garrett's Practice Window This Week, McVay Says
Garrett hasn't had a setback after knee surgery and doesn't need another procedure, but he isn't ready and will miss a seventh straight game
Myles Garrett's return will have to wait at least another week. Sean McVay said Wednesday that the Rams won't open the 21-day practice windows for Garrett or tight end Terrance Ferguson this week, Nate Atkins reported.

Nate Atkins (@NateAtkins_): The Rams will NOT open the practice windows for Myles Garrett or Terrance Ferguson this week. Myles does not need another procedure and has not had any setbacks, Sean McVay said. He just isn’t ready yet. “I know it’s frustrating,” McVay said.
McVay stressed that Garrett hasn't had a setback and doesn't need another procedure. He just isn't ready yet. "I know it's frustrating," McVay said, adding that the team is taking Garrett week to week.
It's a letdown after last week's reporting that Garrett was likely to return to practice this week. He has been on injured reserve since arthroscopic knee surgery in mid-September. Garrett played in the season opener but said afterward he wasn't 100%, and he missed most of training camp with what McVay called irritation in the knee. Sunday will be the seventh straight game he misses.
The Rams need him. Their defensive front has been hit hard, with Kobie Turner on injured reserve along with Poona Ford, and Los Angeles is 3-4 and third in the NFC West.
Ferguson has missed the last four games on injured reserve after spraining his ankle in Week 3 against the Broncos. The Rams had already said he wouldn't be ready when his window first opened.
There was better news on Davante Adams. McVay said Adams had a cleanout surgery on his hamstring and is now expected back on the shorter end of the original six-to-10-week timeline.
The Rams host the Chargers on Sunday.
