Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet Set for Season Debut Monday vs. Bears; Jadarian Price Has No Designation
Seattle's 2025 rushing touchdown leader is back from a torn ACL, while the rookie Price still needs to be activated off injured reserve
Zach Charbonnet is finally coming back. The Seahawks running back has no injury designation and is set to make his 2026 debut Monday night against the Bears, ESPN's Brady Henderson reported Saturday.
Charbonnet tore his ACL in Seattle's divisional-round playoff win over the 49ers in January. The Seahawks activated him from the physically unable to perform list on Oct. 22, but he sat out last Sunday's win over the Chiefs so he could get a full week of work. Mike Macdonald said Saturday the team has "a plan for Zach," which points to a managed workload in his first game back.

Brady Henderson (@BradyHenderson): Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet has no game designation, so he’s set to make his 2026 debut Monday night vs. the Bears. RB Jadarian Price — who’s still on IR — also has no game designation, but Mike Macdonald conveyed some uncertainty as to whether he’ll be activate this week.
He was Seattle's power back last season, running for 730 yards and a team-high 12 rushing touchdowns. Kenneth Walker III is now with Kansas City, so Charbonnet joins a backfield Emanuel Wilson has carried. Wilson has 403 rushing yards and three touchdowns, including 100 yards and a touchdown in the 20-3 win over the Chiefs. George Holani has 108 yards on 36 carries.
Rookie Jadarian Price is the other piece. The first-round pick also has no designation after having his practice window opened this week, but he's still on injured reserve and Macdonald stopped short of saying he'll be activated. "If we were to make a move, I think that would happen on Monday," Macdonald said. Price has 28 carries for 119 yards and has missed the last four games with a chest injury.
The backfield will get a tough test. Chicago ranks third in the league against the run. The 4-3 Seahawks will also be without left tackle Charles Cross and receiver Rashid Shaheed. Kickoff against the 5-2 Bears at Lumen Field is Monday at 5:15 p.m. PT on ESPN.
