Rams' Myles Garrett On Track to Be Activated From IR for Sunday at Commanders
After practicing all week, star edge Myles Garrett is expected to come off injured reserve ahead of Los Angeles' Week 9 game in Washington
Los Angeles is close to getting its star pass rusher back. Myles Garrett is on track to be activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game at the Commanders after practicing all week, Mike Garafolo reported Friday.
Garrett landed on IR after arthroscopic knee surgery following Week 1. The Rams opened his 21-day practice window earlier this week, and every signal since then has pointed toward a Week 9 return. Official activation still has to clear Saturday's deadline, but Garafolo said all indications are that he will play.

A healthy Garrett is a massive lift for a Rams defense that has been missing its best edge rusher for nearly two months. The nine-year veteran entered the year with 125.5 career sacks and was acquired to anchor the front opposite a group that has been piecing things together without him. Los Angeles (4-4) visits Washington (2-4-1) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET looking for a bounce-back win in a muddled NFC picture.
