Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): The #Browns are signing DL Sam Kamara to their active roster, per his agents Zac Hiller and Matt Leist of LAA Sports. Kamara has 1 sack, 3 TFLs, and 10 tackles in 3 games this season.
Kamara has one sack, three tackles for loss and 10 tackles in three games this season. The Stony Brook product has spent the last four seasons in the Browns organization and has 48 career tackles with one sack over limited snaps as a rotational interior piece. Elevating him gives Cleveland another body on a defensive front that has dealt with availability swings all year.
The Browns (5-3) visit the Saints (2-5) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET with Shedeur Sanders making his first start of the season. Kamara figures to be a depth piece rather than an every-down starter, but active-roster signings ahead of a road game usually mean the staff wants him available this weekend.
