Ravens Rule Out Lamar Jackson; Snoop Huntley Starts Again vs. Bengals
Baltimore downgraded Jackson and his high ankle sprain to out, so Tyler Huntley makes a third straight start in a key AFC North game
Lamar Jackson won't play Sunday against the Bengals. The Ravens downgraded their quarterback to out with the high ankle sprain that has kept him sidelined since early October, and Tyler "Snoop" Huntley will start in his place again.
It's the third straight game Jackson will miss. The decision came a day after he was listed as questionable, and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that Jackson was close enough to take most of the first-team reps in Friday's practice. Baltimore chose to give the ankle more time anyway.

The schedule explains some of that caution. The Ravens play three games in 12 days: the Bengals on Sunday, a trip to Buffalo next Sunday and a Thursday night home game against the Jaguars.
The cost of missing Jackson is real. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler pointed out that in the three seasons since 2021 when Jackson missed four or five games, the Ravens averaged 8.7 wins. In the two seasons he played a full year, they averaged 12.5.
What to watch: how Huntley handles a Bengals defense in a division game, and whether Jackson is back on the practice field early next week with Buffalo up next.
