Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): #Jaguars starting LT Anton Harrison was revealed to have suffered a torn ACL during his surgery yesterday, sources say. The hope was just an arthroscopic procedure, but instead there was more damage. Harrison, who is already on Injured Reserve, is now out for the season.
Earlier reporting had left open two different recovery paths depending on what the surgeon found: a shorter absence if the procedure addressed limited damage, or months away if the knee was more seriously injured. Harrison had already been placed on injured reserve, but there was some hope he could return late in the season.
Jacksonville now has to proceed without the tackle who has started on Trevor Lawrence's blind side since 2023. The club's immediate line planning no longer rests on the possibility of Harrison returning after a few weeks. The team could be looking at options before the trade deadline in a couple of weeks.
