Lamar Jackson says ankle injury is a high sprain as Ravens weigh Bengals decision
Jackson identified his injury as a high ankle sprain Friday, but Baltimore has not decided whether he will play against Cincinnati
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson said Friday that he is dealing with a high ankle sprain, and his availability for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals remains uncertain.
Jackson returned to limited practice work this week after missing two games. Coach Jesse Minter said the quarterback got a “pretty good amount of work in” Friday, but Baltimore is still weighing whether he can play effectively against Cincinnati. Tyler Huntley has played during Jackson's absence.

Jackson said the swelling has subsided, but that playing without his usual movement would do his team a disservice, which makes a lot of sense for the league's two-time MVP. His threat with his legs is part of what makes Jackson such a dynamic player, and if that isn't available to him, it will allow a defense like Cincinnati to come after Jackson.
