Josh Jacobs, Tank Dell Activated as Teams Get Key Players Back for Week 7

Saturday's roster deadline brought back a group of players who've been out a long time. Here's who was activated ahead of Sunday's games.

Packers RB Josh Jacobs. Green Bay activated Jacobs from the exempt list, and he's expected to start Sunday at Detroit, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported. It's his 2026 debut after opening the season on the exempt list while his legal case played out.

Texans WR Tank Dell. Houston moved Dell to the active roster, and he's set to play Sunday against the Giants, his first NFL action in almost two years, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Dell was a full participant in practice earlier this month for the first time since 2024.

Falcons CB A.J. Terrell. Atlanta activated Terrell off injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers. The Falcons opened his return window earlier this week.

49ers WR Christian Kirk. San Francisco activated Kirk off injured reserve, and he'll make his 49ers debut Sunday in Atlanta. He's no longer listed as questionable. The timing helps, since the 49ers have ruled out Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel and Nick Bosa.

Vikings RB Jordan Mason. Minnesota activated Mason off injured reserve, and he's expected to play Sunday against the Colts. The Vikings had released DeeJay Dallas on Friday as Mason neared a return.

Broncos RB Jonah Coleman and OLB Jonathon Cooper. Denver activated Coleman from injured reserve and Cooper from the exempt list for Sunday's game at Arizona. To make room, the Broncos placed running back Tyler Badie and outside linebacker Jonah Elliss on injured reserve.

What to watch: how many snaps Jacobs and Dell get after such long layoffs, and whether Kirk becomes a featured target right away in a thin 49ers receiver room.
