Cardinals' Jeremiyah Love Questionable to Return vs. Cowboys With Ankle Injury in First Game Back
The rookie running back, back from a two-game absence with an ankle injury, got hurt again in Dallas as Arizona fell behind 14-3 at halftime
Jeremiyah Love's return to the Cardinals' lineup has hit another snag. The rookie running back hurt his ankle in the first half Sunday against the Cowboys in Dallas, and the team listed him as questionable to return.
It's a tough break for a player who was just getting back on the field. Love had missed the previous two games with a left ankle injury, sitting out against the Rams and Broncos, before coach Mike LaFleur said Friday he would play in Dallas. LaFleur described him then as "feeling as good as he can feel." The Cardinals haven't said whether Sunday's injury is to the same ankle.

Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Cardinals say RB Jeremiyah Love is questionable to return today due to an ankle injury.
The ankle has been an issue for Love all year. A high ankle sprain wiped out the rest of his preseason in August, and coming into Sunday he had 67 carries for 245 yards and a touchdown in five games, plus 11 catches for 36 yards and another score.
He wasn't the only Cardinal to get hurt in the first half. ESPN's Josh Weinfuss noted that receivers Michael Wilson and Kendrick Bourne and running back Bam Knight also suffered injuries before halftime, with Arizona trailing 14-3 at the break.
That's a lot of offense banged up for a team that came into the day 2-5. If Love can't go in the second half, Arizona will have to lean on whoever is left in a thin backfield to try to climb out of an 11-point hole. Any word on the severity of his injury will likely come after the game.
