Cardinals' Jeremiyah Love Will Play vs. Cowboys After Missing Two Games
Mike LaFleur said the rookie running back is back from his ankle injury, while Walter Nolen III and Jon Gaines II are out Sunday in Dallas
Jeremiyah Love will be back in the Cardinals' backfield Sunday. Coach Mike LaFleur said Friday that the rookie running back will play against the Cowboys in Dallas after missing the last two games with a left ankle injury.
LaFleur acknowledged that no one is fully healthy at this point of the season, but said Love is "feeling as good as he can feel." Love returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, the first sign he was on track after sitting out against the Rams and again last week against Denver.
The ankle has followed him all year. A high ankle sprain cost Love the rest of the preseason in August, and he has been productive only in spurts since. In five games he has 67 carries for 245 yards (3.7 per carry) and a touchdown, plus 11 catches for 36 yards and another score. His best day came in Week 3 at San Francisco, with 90 rushing yards on 21 carries.

Arizona needs the help. The Cardinals split the two games without him, winning 18-16 against the Rams before a 30-16 loss to the Broncos that dropped them to 2-5.
The rest of LaFleur's update was mixed. Defensive lineman Walter Nolen III and guard Jon Gaines II won't play Sunday, while right tackle Elijah Wilkinson, who picked up a knee injury this week, will. LaFleur also said receiver Michael Wilson is good to play through a rib injury, calling it "just a pain tolerance" issue that "can't get any worse." Getting both Love and Wilson on the field gives a 2-5 offense two of its key pieces back for the trip to Dallas.
