Patriots' A.J. Brown Questionable vs. Dolphins After Missing Practice Again Friday
Mike Vrabel listed the star receiver as questionable after Brown, dealing with knee and ankle issues, sat out practice for a second straight day
Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown is questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins in Miami, coach Mike Vrabel said Friday, after Brown missed practice for a second straight day.
ESPN's Mike Reiss reported that Brown (knee/ankle) wasn't seen during the media-access portion of Friday's practice, the final full session of the week. Running back TreVeyon Henderson (illness) was also absent for the second straight day.

Brown was listed on the injury report with an ankle issue early in the week before a knee problem flared up and was added, keeping him off the field Thursday. Not practicing Thursday or Friday puts his availability in real doubt, even with the questionable tag leaving the door open for a game-day decision.
If Brown can't go, New England's receiver room gets thin quickly. With Brown out Thursday, Reiss noted that DeMario "Pop" Douglas led the wide receiver drills, with Kyle Williams and Efton Chism III next in line. The Patriots also have Kyle Dixon, Chandler Brayboy, Cameron Dorner and Ryan Miller on the practice squad, and receivers coach Todd Downing spoke this week about how that group is progressing in case the team needs to elevate one of them.
Brown came to New England in an offseason trade with the Eagles as the top target for quarterback Drake Maye, who was a full participant again this week with his right shoulder. Sunday's AFC East matchup with Miami kicks off at 1 p.m. ET, and the Patriots must make a final call on Brown, either ruling him out Saturday or taking him to Miami as a game-time decision.
