Patriots WR Mack Hollins Set to Return to Practice From IR
The veteran receiver's 21-day window opens Wednesday after a calf injury, with Green Bay next on the schedule
The Patriots are getting a veteran receiver back on the practice field. Mack Hollins is set to return to practice Wednesday after his stint on injured reserve with a calf injury, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported.
Returning to practice opens his 21-day window, so the Patriots can activate him to the 53-man roster at any point in that stretch, including this week if he looks ready.

New England placed Hollins on IR earlier this season along with fullback Reggie Gilliam. Before the injury, he had seven catches for 89 yards and a touchdown as a rotational receiver, and his value goes beyond the box score as a blocker and a veteran presence.
The timing matters because the Patriots have been short at wideout. A.J. Brown missed Sunday's game in Miami with a knee flare-up after sitting out practice for a second straight day, leaving New England thin at the position. Even if Brown is back, another dependable body helps.
How Hollins moves this week, and whether he's listed on the practice report as a full or limited participant, will show how close he is to playing against Green Bay on Sunday.
