Nicki Jhabvala (@NickiJhabvala): The Commanders ruled out WRs Treylon Burks and Dyami Brown for Sunday. They’re down to Stefon Diggs, Antonio Williams, Luke McCaffrey and Van Jefferson on the active roster, plus Jaden Bradley on the practice squad.
Burks is out with a foot injury after missing practice all week. Brown is out with a calf injury that flared Thursday; he was limited on the Thursday report before being shut down. That leaves Washington (2-4-1) with Stefon Diggs, Antonio Williams, Luke McCaffrey and Van Jefferson on the active roster at wide receiver, plus Jaden Bradley on the practice squad, per Jhabvala.
Diggs has been the clear WR1 since arriving in Washington, with 27 catches for 252 yards and five touchdowns on 44 targets in six games. Williams has been the next option at 23 receptions for 259 yards and a score on 33 targets. Burks had 12 catches for 233 yards and two touchdowns on 22 targets, and Brown was at nine for 94 yards on 16 targets, so both were rotation pieces the Commanders will miss against a Rams defense that is getting healthier.
Washington hosts the Rams (4-4) on Sunday afternoon. Diggs and Williams should see the bulk of the targets with Burks and Brown unavailable.
