Ravens' Tyler Huntley Has Turf Toe, MRI Monday With Lamar Jackson Headed to IR
Baltimore's backup quarterback is getting more tests on his toe, leaving the Ravens' quarterback room in limbo three days before Thursday night's game against Jacksonville
Baltimore's quarterback problem may not have a quick fix. Tyler "Snoop" Huntley suffered what's believed to be a turf toe injury in Sunday's loss at Buffalo, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported, and he's expected to have an MRI on Monday to determine how much time, if any, he'll miss.

Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Ravens QB Tyler “Snoop” Huntley suffered what is thought to be a turf toe injury today at Buffalo, per source. He is expected to undergo an MRI tomorrow to determine how much time if any he could miss. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson already is being placed on IR due to a thumb injury.
The timing couldn't be worse. Lamar Jackson needs surgery on his right thumb and is headed to injured reserve, which means he'll miss at least four games, and Jesse Minter wouldn't rule out that it ends his season. Huntley is the next man up, and he started the three games Jackson missed earlier this season with a high ankle sprain.
Huntley didn't make it through Sunday either. He took over after Jackson was hurt on Baltimore's first offensive snap, but he was moving poorly on his dropbacks and left in the first half after taking a hit and fumbling deep in Ravens territory. Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano, the emergency third quarterback, finished the 36-10 loss, and the offense managed just 68 net passing yards.
Right now Fagnano is the only healthy quarterback on the roster, and the Ravens don't have much time to sort it out. They host the Jaguars on Thursday night, so the MRI will go a long way toward deciding whether Huntley can play on a short week or whether Baltimore has to hand the offense to an undrafted rookie on a short week.
The Ravens are 4-4, and with the trade deadline on Nov. 10, how long Huntley is out will shape how aggressively they look for another quarterback.
