49ers release defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo before Falcons game
San Francisco parted with Okoronkwo on Friday as it adjusts its roster before Sunday
The San Francisco 49ers released defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo on Friday, according to team beat reporter Cam Inman.
The transaction opens a roster spot before Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Inman suggested the space could be used to bring receiver Christian Kirk off injured reserve, but that is a possibility, not an announced activation.
