The Packers shuffled their roster Saturday, activating wide receiver Savion Williams from injured reserve while placing three players on IR — defensive tackles Jonathan Ford and Javon Hargrave, and wide receiver Skyy Moore.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Packers activated WR Savion Williams off injured reserve/designated for return, and placed DT Jonathan Ford, DT Javon Hargrave and WR Skyy Moore on injured reserve.
Williams, a 2025 fourth-round pick out of TCU, landed on IR after Week 1 with a hamstring injury. The rangy 6-foot-4 receiver had been building a role in the offense early in camp and provides depth behind starters Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson as Green Bay prepares for a pivotal Week 7 divisional matchup at Detroit.
Hargrave's placement is a significant blow to the interior defensive line. The veteran signed a four-year, $84 million deal with the Packers in 2024 and has been a key presence in the middle of the defensive front. Ford, a depth run-stuffer in his fourth season, also heads to IR. The Packers are now thin at defensive tackle heading into a stretch that includes meetings with the Lions' top-ranked rushing attack.
Moore, who joined Green Bay this offseason after four seasons in Kansas City, has been a rotational presence at wideout. His injury thins a receiving corps that also lost depth earlier in the week.
Earlier Saturday, the Packers confirmed that running back Josh Jacobs will return as the starter against Detroit after serving a league-imposed paid leave.
