The Giants' top receiver Malik Nabers was held out of Wednesday's practice with a knee injury, a development that puts his availability for Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders in question.

Nabers was in uniform but spent individual drills on the sideline talking with trainers, and he later described himself as "sore — more sore than usual." He said he did as much as he could at practice and that he usually gets better as the week progresses, but he offered only a "we'll see" when asked whether the knee would affect his ability to play Sunday.

The Giants' Wednesday injury report was crowded beyond Nabers. Left tackle Andrew Thomas (groin), safety Jason Pinnock (concussion), defensive lineman Chauncey Golston (neck) and running back Najee Harris (personal) all did not participate, while tight ends Isaiah Likely and Chris Manhertz and running back Cam Skattebo were limited. Cornerback Deonte Banks (calf) and center Bryan Hudson (ankle) were full participants.

Nabers has been the centerpiece of the Giants' passing game under head coach John Harbaugh, and his status will be a focal point of the week as New York looks to bounce back against a division rival. The team will monitor his knee through the week before deciding whether he can go Sunday.
