The Cincinnati Bengals have a new name on the injury report, but their quarterback isn't worried. Joe Burrow told reporters Wednesday he is dealing with back tightness, though he expects to play Sunday at Houston against the Texans.
Burrow didn't do much at Wednesday's practice and said his practice schedule for the rest of the week is uncertain — but he dismissed the idea of sitting out as a precaution. Asked about not playing, Burrow called it "ridiculous," adding that he can get enough mental reps to be ready for Houston even without a full practice week.
Veteran Joe Flacco is the backup if anything changes. Nothing about Wednesday suggested the team is thinking that way: Burrow was still throwing before the stretching period, and the expectation on both sides is that he starts against the Texans.
