It's Official: Jay-Z Will Headline the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show
The Roc Nation founder who has helped produce the halftime show since 2019 is taking the stage himself at SoFi Stadium on Feb. 14
Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show on Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium. The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation made it official Monday night, ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported, confirming what had been reported last week.

The twist is that Jay-Z picked himself. His company, Roc Nation, has been the league's entertainment partner since 2019 and helps produce the halftime show. When that deal was struck, he told Roger Goodell, "If this is about me performing at the Super Bowl, then we can just end this conversation now," according to ESPN. Goodell said his one request at the time was that Jay-Z take the stage himself "whenever the moment felt right to him."
Apparently it does now. Jay-Z just wrapped a run of stadium shows celebrating the 30th anniversary of "Reasonable Doubt," including a stop at SoFi this past weekend.
"From 'Reasonable Doubt' to standing on the Super Bowl halftime stage, this has been a journey," Jay-Z said in a statement. "Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world's biggest stage."
Roc Nation will executive produce the show, with Hamish Hamilton directing. He follows Bad Bunny, whose show last February averaged 128.2 million viewers. Super Bowl LXI airs on ESPN and ABC and streams on Disney+.
