Patriots' A.J. Brown could begin practicing this week, per Vrabel
New England's head coach left the door open for the star receiver's return to the practice field, while offering no new timetable on LT Will Campbell's knee

Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said Monday there is a chance wide receiver A.J. Brown could begin practicing this week, a hopeful sign for a New England receiver corps that has been without its top target for most of the season.
Evan Lazar (@ezlazar): #Patriots HC Mike Vrabel didn't have an update on LT Will Campbell (knee). On if there's a chance that WR A.J. Brown could begin practicing this week: Vrabel: "There's a chance."
Brown has been on injured reserve since a right ankle injury early in the season, and his return to the practice field would start the clock on a possible activation. Vrabel offered no update on left tackle Will Campbell's knee injury at the same press conference, leaving the Patriots' offensive line situation uncertain heading into the week.
The timing is notable as the Patriots look to build on Sunday's win over the Raiders behind Drake Maye. Getting Brown back in the rotation would give Maye a true No. 1 option on the outside, and even a limited ramp-up this week would be a meaningful step for an offense still finding its rhythm.
