McVay seeks first career win over Sirianni as Rams visit Eagles

Sean McVay has built one of the most successful coaching tenures in the league since taking over the Rams in 2017, but one opponent has consistently given him trouble. The Rams coach is 0-4 all-time against Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, a streak he will try to snap Sunday in Philadelphia.

The two have met in a series of tight, memorable games. The Eagles won in Los Angeles in 2023 and again the following year, then escaped an upset bid in the 2024 divisional round before a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown gave Philadelphia a 33-26 win last season. Overall, McVay is 1-6 against the Eagles, and Philadelphia has won 10 of the last 11 meetings between the clubs.

Sunday's stakes are significant for the Rams, who sit at 1-2 and are desperate to avoid falling to 1-3. Despite the head-to-head history, Los Angeles enters as a 3.5-point favorite for the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. A win would give McVay his first victory over Sirianni while steadying a Rams season that has already dealt with a wave of injuries on both sides of the ball.
