The Jets have again ruled out running back Breece Hall (quad) and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell (finger), this time for their Sunday afternoon road matchup against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Jets once again have ruled out RB Breece Hall (quad) and WR Adonai Mitchell (finger), this time for Sunday's game vs. the Patriots.
Hall misses his third consecutive game with a quadriceps issue that has sidelined him since Week 4. Braelon Allen has handled lead-back duties in Hall's absence, rushing for 187 yards and two touchdowns over the last two weeks. The Jets, at 2-3, will need the ground game productive against a Patriots defense that sits at 3-2.
Mitchell, New York's second-round pick in 2025, had finger surgery earlier this month and will not suit up for the trip to New England. Wide receiver Omar Cooper, per Ian Rapoport, was a full participant at Friday's practice and will play Sunday, giving quarterback Geno Smith an additional target alongside Garrett Wilson. The Jets and Patriots kick off at 1:00 PM ET on CBS.
