The Eagles ruled out wide receiver DeVonta Smith and other starters for Sunday's game against the Rams due to his hamstring injury, the latest blow to a Philadelphia offense already managing a thin skill-position group.
Smith's absence was joined by a broader list of regulars: tight end Dallas Goedert (knee), wide receiver Hollywood Brown (ankle) and defensive back Marcus Epps (groin) were all ruled out as well, per the team's Friday report. Linebacker Zack Baun remains out while in the concussion protocol.
The cluster leaves Jalen Hurts without his top two targets and a significant chunk of the supporting cast against a Rams defense that got Puka Nacua back. Philadelphia's depth at receiver and tight end will be tested, and the team's ability to generate offense without its usual weapons becomes the central question of the matchup.
Smith had been listed as questionable after a murky week, so the ruling confirms the worst-case scenario for the Eagles' passing game heading into Sunday.
