The Commanders will be without two starters for Sunday's game against the Colts in London, with guard Sam Cosmi and safety Nick Cross ruled out and not making the trip.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Commanders G Sam Cosmi (Concussion/Throat) and S Nick Cross (Illness) are not traveling with the team tonight to London and have been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Colts.
Cosmi is dealing with a concussion and throat issue, while Cross is out with an illness. Their absence leaves Washington shorthanded on the offensive line and in the secondary for the international matchup.
There is good news for the Commanders, though: quarterback Jayden Daniels, linebacker Frankie Luvu and tight end Chig Okonkwo are all making the trip to London. Daniels' availability was a question after he avoided surgery on his dislocated elbow, so his travel is a positive sign for the offense.
Washington heads to London looking to steady itself, and getting its quarterback and key playmakers on the plane is a meaningful step even as it deals with the two absences.
