The Colts have signed veteran wide receiver Quez Watkins to their practice squad, adding an experienced option to the receiver room.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Colts have signed WR Quez Watkins to their practice squad.
Watkins, 28, was a sixth-round pick by the Eagles in the 2020 draft out of Southern Miss and spent his first four seasons in Philadelphia, where he caught 104 passes for 1,304 yards. He has since bounced through Pittsburgh and Arizona, most recently landing back on the Eagles' practice squad before his release.
Indianapolis worked out Watkins along with a couple of other receivers before deciding to bring him aboard. He gives the Colts a proven depth piece with NFL starting experience as they round out the back end of the receiver group.
