The Colts will be without defensive end Arden Key for at least the next four weeks after placing him on injured reserve Saturday with a hamstring injury suffered during last Sunday's win over the Commanders in London.
Mike Chappell (@mchappell51): Along with downgrading WR Darius Slayton (knee) to out vs Steelers, Colts placed DE Arden Key (hamstring) on IR and elevated WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to active roster from PS. Key must miss at least next 4 games.
Key, who had been ruled out for multiple weeks heading into Saturday, registered eight tackles, a half-sack and a forced fumble over the first four games this season. With Key landing on IR, Indianapolis elevated wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad to the active roster on a temporary basis, his third such elevation of the season.
Separately, the Colts downgraded wide receiver Darius Slayton from questionable to out for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh after he was unable to progress through his knee injury during the week, per the team's announcement.
