The Cleveland Browns placed running back Raheim Sanders on injured reserve Tuesday and signed running back Audric Estime off the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad to replace him on the 53-man roster.
Mary Kay Cabot (@MaryKayCabot): #Browns have signed RB Audric Estime and placed RB Raheim Sanders on IR for at least four games. Big loss.
Sanders suffered a hip injury in Sunday's loss to the New York Jets. He had served as Cleveland's primary kick returner, averaging 29.3 yards per return, in addition to his work out of the backfield. The IR designation means he will miss at least four games.
Estime, who signed with the Vikings' practice squad earlier this season, appeared in seven games with one start for the New Orleans Saints last year, rushing for 198 yards with a touchdown and catching 12 passes for 103 yards. He previously played 13 games for the Denver Broncos in 2024 after being selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft.
In corresponding practice squad moves, the Browns signed tight end Devin Culp and guard Vershon Lee while releasing cornerback Myles Bryant and wide receiver James Proche II, per Akron Jackson of the Beacon Journal.
