Court records show York posted $5,000 bond and received two concurrent days in the Columbiana County Jail with credit for time already served, along with $1,150 in fines. As part of the resolution, $160 that had been seized from him will be forfeited to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, while a confiscated cell phone is to be returned.
It has been a turbulent stretch off the field for the franchise's leadership. Coach Kyle Shanahan missed the start of training camp after a July 14 car crash in Palo Alto left him with a concussion, a broken nose, a broken hand and a facial laceration requiring 40 stitches. Now the team's top executive has an arrest on his record six days before rosters are cut to 53.
York has run the 49ers' front office since 2008 and became principal owner in 2024 after acquiring additional shares from his mother, co-chair Denise DeBartolo York. The organization has not commented on the arrest.
