Makai Lemon makes full return to Eagles practice from hamstring injury

The rookie receiver was back in 7-on-7s Monday after a hamstring issue, and the same leg that cost him spring time is now behind him.

The Eagles' rookie receiver is back on the field. Makai Lemon made a full return to practice Monday, participating in 7-on-7 work after a hamstring issue had sidelined him, per the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane.

The detail worth noting: this is the same leg as the hamstring injury that cost Lemon time in the spring, per McLane. Recurring soft-tissue issues are the kind of thing teams track closely with young receivers, so a clean, unrestricted return — and a week of full work before cutdowns — is exactly what both sides wanted to see.

For Philadelphia, Lemon's return comes at a meaningful moment. The second-round pick out of USC has been one of camp's most discussed rookies, and with the receiver room behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith still sorting itself out, every rep he can bank this week matters for his role in the season opener against Dallas on September 10.

Elijah Moore (neck) and Dameon Pierce (hamstring) were also back on the field Monday after their own absences, giving the Eagles offense nearly its full complement of pass catchers for the final week of camp.
