New Orleans looks ready to get its lead running back back on the field. Alvin Kamara was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, and head coach Kellen Moore told reporters earlier in the day that the Saints expect him to play Sunday against the Ravens.
Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo): Alvin Kamara (knee) was a full participant in practice today. #Saints HC Kellen Moore said earlier he expects him to play. DE Cam Jordan (hamstring) was limited.
Kamara sat out the season opener with a knee injury he suffered in August. Moore said Kamara probably could have played in Week 1 but had not logged enough practice time after returning to the field earlier in the week, which is why the Saints held him rather than pushing him into a game.
Defensive end Cam Jordan (hamstring), who also missed the opener, was a limited participant on Wednesday, as was tight end Oscar Delp (hamstring). Tight end Juwan Johnson (illness) and linebacker Isaiah Stalbird (shoulder) practiced in full, and with Kamara back in the main group the Saints' Week 2 backfield picture looks considerably closer to what they drew up in the summer.
