The Ravens defense could be getting a major boost this week. Baltimore is hopeful that defensive end Trey Hendrickson can return from a finger injury in time for Sunday's game against the Browns, depending on how practice goes.
Jeremy Fowler (@JFowlerESPN): Ravens getting healthy: -Lamar Jackson has realistic chance to play this week, per @AdamSchefter -The Ravens also are hopeful for DE Trey Hendrickson's (finger) return, per sources, depending how practice goes.
Hendrickson, who joined the Ravens in a trade from the Bengals this offseason, has been one of the league's most productive pass rushers this season with 6.5 sacks and 10 quarterback hits through five games. His presence off the edge has been critical for a Baltimore defense that ranks seventh in the NFL in sacks.
Also looming over the Ravens this week is the potential return of quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has a realistic chance to play after missing Week 5 with an ankle injury. Getting both Jackson and Hendrickson back would be a significant lift for the Ravens (4-1) as they head to Cleveland for an AFC North showdown.
