NFL: no further players placed on commissioner exempt list Sunday; Nacua, Jackson, Bateman remain under review

The NFL will not place any additional players on the commissioner's exempt list on Sunday, according to Adam Schefter, closing the door on further paid-leave moves for the day after Josh Jacobs, Jonathon Cooper and Terrion Arnold were already sidelined.

That does not mean the league's discipline review is finished. Schefter notes three other matters remain open: Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua and offensive tackle Alaric Jackson in Los Angeles, and Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman in Baltimore. Those players stay on the roster for now but remain under the league's scrutiny, and any of them could be placed on the exempt list later if the NFL determines a move is warranted.

For the Rams and Ravens, the uncertainty hangs over skill-position pieces during cutdowns. Neither club has indicated a change to the players' availability, but the open reviews signal to a weekend in which the league has already pulled several names off the field for off-field reasons. The exempt list is a paid, non-football status — a player remains under contract but cannot practice or play until the matter is resolved.
