Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed Wednesday that newly-acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will make his Houston debut Sunday when the team faces the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

The move comes three days after the teams finalized a blockbuster trade that sent Harrison from the Arizona Cardinals to Houston — immediately triggering a new wave of optimism around a Texans offense that has struggled to find consistency through the first five weeks of the season. Houston enters the Week 6 matchup at 1-4, with the passing game averaging just 178 yards per game, 26th in the NFL.

Harrison, selected fourth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, was essentially the centerpiece of a deal that saw the Texans send a package of 2027 draft picks to Arizona. The former Ohio State standout posted 3,120 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns over his first two seasons with the Cardinals. His arrival in Houston fills what has been a glaring need for a true complement at the WR2 spot across from Nico Collins, as the Texans have rotated through options without finding sustained production.

London has been kind to Houston in the past — the Texans are 2-0 all-time in International Series games. With the Jaguars sitting at 4-1 and atop the AFC South, Sunday's kickoff at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium figures to be the stiffest test Harrison and his new teammates have faced this season.
