The Miami Dolphins made a corresponding roster move on Saturday, activating a rookie defensive lineman from injured reserve while releasing their backup quarterback.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Dolphins have activated DL Kenneth Grant off the injured reserve list and waived QB Brady Cook.
Kenneth Grant, the Dolphins' third-round pick out of Michigan, was activated from the injured reserve list. Grant had missed the first four games of the season after suffering an undisclosed injury during training camp. The 6-foot-3, 331-pound defensive tackle was expected to provide interior depth alongside Zach Sieler and Da'Shawn Hand.
Brady Cook, an undrafted rookie quarterback out of Missouri, was waived in a corresponding move. Cook had been signed to the active roster after Tua Tagovailoa's season-ending hip injury but did not appear in a game.
The Dolphins (1-3) travel to Indianapolis to face the Colts on Sunday.
