Cowboys release QB Joe Milton in surprising post-cutdown move

The Dallas Cowboys are releasing quarterback Joe Milton, per Adam Schefter — a surprising move given he was on the club's initial 53-man roster just a day earlier.

Milton looked great in Dallas' first two preseason games, which made the decision to part with him all the more unexpected.
