Alec Pierce appears on track to make the opener his return date. Colts coach Shane Steichen said Monday that the wide receiver "should be good to go" for Indianapolis's Week 1 game against the Ravens after offseason ankle surgery.

Pierce has been back at practice for a little over a week, going through his first full session last week as he rehabs the ankle. Steichen's comments came at his weekly press conference with the opener days away.

The positive news extends beyond Pierce. Keenan Allen is also expected to play after being arrested in the hours after the team's final preseason game, and tight end Tyler Warren has returned from a groin injury — putting the Colts on track to have their full receiving corps available for Daniel Jones's first game since tearing his Achilles last season.
