Arizona's first regular-season depth chart lists Tyler Allgeier as the No. 1 running back for Sunday's opener against the Chargers, with rookie Jeremiyah Love at No. 2, per Adam Schefter.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): On the Cardinals' unofficial depth chart ahead of Sunday's regular-season opener vs. the Chargers, Tyler Allgeier is listed as RB1 and rookie Jeremiyah Love is listed as RB2.
Love is working back from the high ankle sprain he suffered in Arizona's preseason opener — the injury that cost him the rest of the summer — and coach Mike LaFleur said this week he feels good about Love being in the lineup against Los Angeles. The depth chart reflects the same pecking order the Cardinals carried in the preseason, when Allgeier was first on the list and Love was sidelined entirely; Bam Knight is listed as the third back. Carries could shift quickly if Love produces the way he did at Notre Dame, but for now Arizona is calling Allgeier the starter.
