Arizona's rookie running back appears headed toward being available for the opener. Mike LaFleur said Monday he is optimistic that Jeremiyah Love will be able to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, about four weeks after Love suffered a high ankle sprain.

Love was "moving around" during Monday's walkthrough, and when LaFleur was asked about the first-round pick's status for Week 1, the coach did not hedge. "I feel good," LaFleur said, per ESPN's Josh Weinfuss. It is the most encouraging sign yet that the Cardinals expect their rookie back on the field when the season.
Love has been sidelined since the ankle injury cut his preseason short, and the Cardinals have been cautious with him through the recovery. Arizona opens Sunday against the Chargers, so Love has the rest of the week to build on Monday's progress before the team's first official injury designations arrive.
