Newman was back at practice Tuesday, but the Bears also had a couple of health questions — Booker not spotted and Dexter briefly with trainers — while several starters returned to full participation.
The Bears got one starter back and had a couple of health questions to monitor as Tuesday's session wrapped.
Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs): Should note that G/C Luke Newman returned to practice today.
Brad Biggs noted guard/center Luke Newman returned to practice after a stretch out, a welcome addition to an interior that has been shuffling. But not everything was clean: defensive tackle Gervon Dexter also went inside with a trainer during the session.
Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs): #Bears DT Gervon Dexter went inside with a trainer as well.
Kaitlin Fishbain (@kfishbain): No sign of Austin Booker at Bears practice. Braxton Jones is LT1 and Jedrick Wills was LT2, with Theo Benedet at RT2. Tyson Bagent, Tyrique Stevenson, Luke Newman and Terell Smith are back to full participants.
Elsewhere, Kaitlin Fishbain reported no sign of edge rusher Austin Booker at practice — he was among the frontline players not in uniform for Saturday's exhibition. On the positive side, Fishbain listed Tyrique Stevenson, Newman and others as back to full participants, and Stevenson opened the first team period with the starting defense.
