Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): The #Vikings are releasing QB Max Brosmer, who started two games last year and played in seven. He now heads to waivers.
With Brosmer headed to waivers, the Vikings' quarterback room now features Kyler Murray, Carson Wentz and JJ McCarthy. McCarthy's name has been linked with trade talk, and the consensus was that the Vikings would trade or even cut the quarterback. Instead, they hold on to their former first-round draft pick, possibly still looking to trade.
