A milestone day for the Texans' passing game. Tank Dell was a full participant in Wednesday's practice for the first time since his devastating knee injury in December 2024 — a major step forward for a player whose recovery has been the quiet story of Houston's season.

Dell suffered a catastrophic knee injury while catching a touchdown against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium late in the 2024 season, a play that was initially celebrated before the severity became clear. The recovery cost him the entire 2025 campaign and has stretched into October of 2026 — he returned to regular-season practice earlier this month and made additional progress on the field this week.

Wednesday marked the first time he was on the field for a full practice load, even if the staff kept the session light. The Texans have been working Dell back gradually, and today's designation — full participant in a lighter practice — suggests the athletic training staff is satisfied with his structural readiness but remains mindful of the conditioning gap that comes with such a long layoff. Houston has already activated receiver options, signing newly acquired Marvin Harrison Jr. to make his debut Sunday in London, but getting Dell back into the mix would give the Texans a dynamic element they have missed for nearly two years.
