Texans sign former first-round LB Kenneth Murray to practice squad

The Texans are restocking their linebacker room from the veteran market. Former Cowboys linebacker Kenneth Murray is signing with Houston's practice squad, per Ian Rapoport.

Murray, a former first-round pick, started 16 games for Dallas last season, and Houston needs depth after placing Henry To'oTo'o on injured reserve. To'oTo'o is expected to miss time with a shoulder injury, so the Texans moved fast to add an experienced replacement. Murray gives them a plug-and-play option who has played heavy snaps in multiple schemes, and a practice-squad spot keeps the door open for a quick elevation if the injury situation demands it.
