Former Pro Bowl CB Trevon Diggs works out for Seahawks
Seattle took a look at former Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs on Tuesday, continuing a busy stretch of secondary evaluations.
The Seattle Seahawks brought in a recognizable name for a workout Tuesday.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Former Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs tried out today for the Seahawks.
Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowler and one of the league's premier ballhawks in his prime, worked out for Seattle, according to Adam Schefter. Mike Garafolo and the team's beat accounts confirmed the session. Diggs, who has battled knee injuries in recent seasons, is evaluating his next landing spot after parting with the Cowboys.
The Seahawks have been active in churning their secondary during camp, and a workout does not guarantee a deal. But Diggs' pedigree as a turnover creator would be an intriguing fit for a Seattle defense looking to add playmaking on the back end.
For now, the visit is informational — Seattle is kicking the tires on a veteran corner with something to prove.
