The Seahawks have won a franchise-record 12 straight games, and they'll look to extend that streak Sunday against the Commanders in Washington.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Seahawks now have won a franchise-record 12 straight games. The last NFL team to win 13 straight games was the 2023-24 Chiefs, who won 15 straight. Seahawks have allowed 10 or fewer points in four straight regular-season games dating back to last season; a fifth consecutive game would tie the 2006 Broncos, 2005 Colts and 2000 Steelers for the second longest streak in the NFL over the last 30 seasons. The 1999 Jaguars did it in six straight games.
Seattle's run dates back to last season, and the team has been dominant on the road under head coach Mike Macdonald — 16-2, an 88.9% winning percentage. Overall, the Seahawks have won 12 straight and 16 of their last 17.
The last NFL team to win 13 straight games was the 2023-24 Chiefs, who won 15 in a row. Seattle has also allowed 10 or fewer points in four straight regular-season games dating back to last year; a fifth consecutive game would tie the 2006 Broncos, 2005 Colts and 2000 Steelers for the second-longest such streak in the NFL over the last 30 seasons.
The streak is a testament to the program Macdonald has built in Seattle. With Sam Darnold back under center after clearing the injury report, the Seahawks have their full complement of weapons as they chase a 13th straight win and a spot in the record books.
