Nick Emmanwori is questionable for the Seahawks' season opener against the Patriots, and Seattle has moved to shore up the secondary before the 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): With Seahawks S Nick Emmanwori questionable for tonight's opener vs. the Patriots due to an ankle injury, Seattle signed safety AJ Finley off the practice squad and elevated safety Rodney Thomas II from the practice squad.
Emmanwori is dealing with an ankle injury. The team signed safety AJ Finley to the 53-man roster off the practice squad and waived guard Bryce Cabeldue to make room. Finley appeared in four games for Seattle last season, mostly on special teams. Rodney Thomas II was elevated from the practice squad along with running back Velus Jones Jr., who will be available for the opener.
Starting safety Ty Okada is already out with a hamstring injury, which makes the additions a direct response to the club's injury situation in the secondary.
