Lamar Jackson gets limited practice work as Ravens prepare for Bengals

Baltimore listed Jackson as limited Wednesday after he missed the media viewing window, a change from the initial impression that he had sat out

Lamar Jackson took part in the Baltimore Ravens' Wednesday practice on a limited basis, giving the team a measure of on-field work from its quarterback ahead of Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was not visible during the portion open to reporters, but the eventual participation listing was limited rather than did not practice, according to Jamison Hensley.

Jackson is working through an ankle injury and has missed Baltimore's past two games. The Ravens opened the week with a public glimpse that suggested he might be absent again, so the final practice designation is important: he did get some work in after the media window. It does not settle whether he can start against Cincinnati. Baltimore has relied on Tyler Huntley in his absence, and Jackson's level of participation later this week will be more telling than a single limited listing.

There were other developments in the same position groups. Center Cam Jurgens was a full participant as he works back from a concussion, his first full practice since joining Baltimore, while Trey Hendrickson was also full despite a finger issue. Tavius Robinson did not participate because of a pectoral injury. Those are separate availability questions around the team, not evidence that Jackson has been cleared to play.

For Baltimore, the distinction between missing the open period and being absent for the entire session matters. Wednesday ended with Jackson officially limited, a concrete change from the initial practice observation and a better starting point for the rest of the week. The Bengals game remains the next test of whether that work can build into game readiness.
